Audio Recordings from the Viscount Cultural Center - May 28, 2013
Brandon fiddler Melanie Ostash gives lessons at the VCC. We were upstairs recording a few tunes with a single microphone and a computer. Each song was recorded in it's entirety in one take. Sometimes the bass is too quiet, sometimes the banjo too loud, but we did not record tracks separately, just one microphone live. Melanie came upstairs when her teaching was finished for the day and joined us on a few tunes.
Wagon Wheel is a new song to us. We tried it with Melanie once a week ago. This is the second time we played it with her. Here it is complete with Blair coughing at least once. I like Lorne's summary at the very end of the song.

Melanie's student (pre school) came up with Melanie and joined us all on this one. We came up with the arrangement about 15 seconds before we hit "record". This one is much louder than Wagon Wheel. Turn down your volume on your headphones.

An ESL class had just finished and came upstairs to hear us record this song. They show their appreciation at the end.
